How will traffic be driving from Riverside to East LA if my boyfriend has work at 3:15pm?
At around what time should he leave if we were to live in Riverside or Moreno Valley? Should we consider getting an apartment in LA county, even if money is going to be very tight? We live with my parents, and my parents are moving to Riverside in less than a month.

There will be 6 traffic accidents, a train derailment, and several acts of god. My opinion, maybe he should stay with you!

Check the Metrolink schedules. Getting there at 3:15 by car, traffic shouldn't be horrible on most days, but if there is an accident or something then you will get delayed

There are good Kaiser Hospitals, One off of lakview in anahiem hills, riverside, Redlands.

Between Huntington Park and Tustin, the distance is about 31 miles. Between Huntington Park and Riverside, the distance is about twice that. Going south on the freeway in the morning though is the worst in Orange County. Hopyfullly you can get a start time closer to 6AM to beat the traffic. Good luck.

What would the commute be like if one lived in Fullerton CA and worked in Riverside CA?
I know a lot of people do the reverse commute (live in Riverside and commute to Orange County). So what would the reverse be like? Is there still bad traffic? Any thoughts and information appreciated.

Grew up in Riverside and now live in Menifee. You are right-most go the opposite way-I used to drive to Laguna to the Art School. My husband to Irvine (Marine) and then later down south to San Diego (try 1.5-2 hours to work for 15 years) I think you would be just fine-its actually opposite the traffic run for most commuters. The best way to judge unfortunately is to drive it at work time on any given weekday-either morning or eve. Good luck! we all need it in So Cal! Between gas and time we get minimum wage no matter how much we make!

You could drive to Anaheim and then take the Metrolink train directly to Riverside. It would be faster than driving. You may want to look into that. But even driving won't be too bad, by LA standards anyway, lol.

It's not too bad by Calif. standards, except on Friday. Outgoing traffic is heavier as folks are leaving town early usually.

It's better to go from Fullerton to Riverside than the other way around. Hundreds of thousands of people go from the Inland Empire to Orange and Los Angeles counties every morning. Way fewer go the other way. That being said, traffic is getting worse all the time. The problem now is that you have to pass the 241 toll road if you take the 91, and thousands of cars dump off that highway on to both directions of the 91, east and west.

Hello! I'm 21 years old, been working since I was 16. Emancipated at 16. Also I had a son at 17, I have a great sense of responsibility. Very mature and independent. I worked at quiznos for 6 months as an assistant manager, and then at Lowes as a cashier and then promoted to an administrative office clerk. I have an interview on tuesday for a county position in riverside as a office assistant 3. I'm extremely worried that they will just write me off because I'm too young. I'm going to dress appropriately and carry myself well. But I just want to know what my chances are! I'm going out of my mind, this is a great opportunity for me, I really need this. This level 3 position will require me to oversee and lead other office employees. I'm very skilled but also nervous! Will a combination of my age and my level of nervousness kill my chances??? Please help!

So Cal Commuters: What is the commute like on the 15 freeway from the high desert to Riverside?
How long does it take for you to get down the hill on a typical morning? What time do you leave? My family and I are thinking of moving to Apple Valley. I work in Riverside near Corona and would commute because I have a great job. I just want an idea of what I could expect. I currently live in Corona. My place of employment is right at the Corona/Riverside line. Pierce St. Exit off the 91. Also, what time do you normally leave??

Not too bad. The 15 is still a pretty clear freeway at this point, but it is getting worse. That is still quite a ways to drive though...commuting is never fun, no matter how trafficless the the drive is.

well it all depends really! it usually took me about an hour and a half to get to riverside from barstow. it all depends on when you leave though. Try to leave before rush hour traffic. Oh and the freeway is always congested right when all of the freeways merge going to riverside ( the 60 and the 15)...just stay to the left and you will get through faster.

It's not too bad, compared to LA county. But it's been getting worse the last couple years.

I'd say 20-45 minutes, morning always sucks ANY area within Los Angeles and its neighbors. Leave early. Been commuting all over California for years!

I have a headache from trying to look on craigslist, I want a job as a customer service representative or something, I don't think I could find much better than that. Get out the most recent phone book and look for businesses that use a customer service rep. Call them and explain you are looking for that type of job and tell them you have experience, you are a hard worker, and you are available. Offer to send a resume. Or, go over there and fill out an application, also include your resume. Most people just wait for an opening, you are better off going to places of business that need your services and applying directly. Most job openings are not advertised, you've got to hustle to get it

Yes. The dept can give you all the minimum requirements for the physical agility portion of your evaluation. Just give them a call. I strongly suggest you make it a point to do SIGNIFICANTLY better than the minimum times!
